Taylor's Geek Charming Page 10

Just before lunch she had a girl named Molly come in to interview for the job. According to her application she was originally form Cedar Springs and wanted to move back. Molly even had experience and good references. When the door opened around 11:30am, she looked up to see a beautiful curvy woman with blonde hair walking in.

“Hi, I’m here to see Taylor.” The woman said smiling brightly.

“That’s me, you must be Molly.” Taylor smiled, reaching out to shake her hand. “Let’s go sit and chat on the couch.” Taylor led the way.

“This is a pretty big library.” Molly commented as they sat down.

“It is. Is the one you used to work at small?” Taylor like the woman instantly. She would fit in the group too.

“Yes, I always felt like that books were too crowded together. Our town hadn’t had much of a budget for the library.” Molly said looking around them.

“From what I was told, someone gifted this building to the town for a library a long time ago.” Taylor loved this library. She had lots of space to display new books.

“I think this was the library before I left, but I didn’t come in here back then.” Molly smiled turning back to Taylor.

“I’m not going to bore you too much, most of the standard questions I can answer from your application and resume. Instead, let’s talk about books. Have you read anything recently?” Taylor asked.

Molly gave her detailed descriptions of a few new releases, and was able to answer a few questions about classic books. This was defiantly the woman she wanted in here with her. They would get along, and she could count on her to be here on time based on what her references had said.

“When are you moving here?” Taylor asked trying to get a time line.

“I actually rented an apartment here last week. I have been busy settling in, or I would have already been by.” Molly replied.

“Good, do you want to go to a friend’s bakery and grab a snack for lunch?” Taylor asked, anxious to see if she would fit with the group.

“Sure, sounds good.” Molly stood, and followed her out the door.

“Hey, Taylor, long time no see.” Chasity greeted her with a smile as they entered the bakery.

“Yeah, I…um… have been busy.” Taylor blushed.

“Yeah, busy getting busy.” Chasity laughed. “What can I get you?”

“I’ll have my usual, Molly, what do you want?” Taylor asked the other girl.

“Coffee, and a bear claw please.” Molly told Chasity.

“Coming right up. Y’all have a seat.” Chasity turned away.

“This place smells amazing.” Molly sighed as they sat down.

“Yeah, Chasity makes everything she sales.” Taylor bragged on her friend.

“You look familiar.” Chasity said when she sat their order down.

“My name is Molly Mitchel. I lived here until the end of eighth grade.” She smiled.

“Oh yeah, I remember you. Are you moving back to town?” Chasity slid in beside Taylor.

“I just finished setting up my apartment actually.” Molly sipped her coffee, then sighed.

“Good. You can come to girl’s night. It will be here this Friday at 7pm.” Chasity informed them.

“Are y’all making the guys watch the kids?” Taylor asked. She was glad Molly was invited.

“It won’t kill them.” Chasity shrugged. “Besides, if we do it at one of our houses, I’m afraid they guys will bug the place.” Chasity huffed.

“That isn’t the problem, Lindy is a tattle tale.” Taylor laughed.

“There’s my girl.” Jacob said walking in the bakery. Chasity left them to go to Jacob. Taylor’s phone went off, and she looked down to check the message.

  Chad: Where are you?

  Taylor: Bakery

  Chad: Be right there.

“Chad, my boyfriend, is on his way. Can you start training Wednesday?” Taylor asked Molly.

  “Really? Absolutely.” Molly squealed.

“Molly?” Taylor heard called from the door. She turned to see Tray staring at Molly as Chad walked to her.

“Hey baby.” Chad leaned in and kissed her.

“Hi.” Taylor smiled. Tray slid in beside Molly.

  “Tray?” Molly asked quietly.

  “It is you.” Tray grinned.

“I take it you two know each other?” Chad said wrapping an arm around Taylor.

“Miss Molly stole my heart in the eighth grade, then disappeared.” Tray said staring at Molly.

“Tray.” Taylor tried to get his attention when Molly gave her a help look. “Tray.” She said louder and kicked him.

“Ouch! What was that for?” Tray growled at her.

“It’s not polite to stare.” Taylor growled right back.

“Have you seen her?” Tray asked.

“I’m sitting right here.” Molly snapped.

“Trust me, sweetheart, I know.” Tray turned a heated gaze on Molly.

Taylor raised an eyebrow and turned to look at Chad. Chad smiled and looked back at Tray. Tray was acting like Chad had in the beginning. This should be fun to watch.
